Paul Lazarevic, UK Managing Director.
Paul was formerly Head of Corporate Sales at npower Business where he was responsible for all sales to the UK's major industrial and commercial users. His industry experience ranges from project managing the design and construction of embedded refinery power-generation projects in the USA and Far East, to setting up a gas trading operation in the UK and running a risk management team. Paul has also worked at Enron, where he helped create the Energy Services team and developed ground-breaking contracts combining energy supply with demand management products and services.
David Bill, Company Secretary & Head of IT.
David is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years' experience in professional practice and industry. He was responsible for originally setting up the financial, reporting and IT systems at RLtec. Currently, as well as his Board duties, David manages the IT and communication systems. Before joining RLtec he worked as a project manager in Ernst & Young's Management Consulting practice where he specialised in the implementation of new financial systems. David was also a Systems Development Manager with Whitbread and before that worked for Deloitte Haskins & Sells in London.
Ian Marshall, Head of Finance.
Ian has been responsible, over the last thirty years, for the finance functions of subsidiary companies of a number of multi-nationals, operating in the fields of manufacturing, international contracting, commodity trading, consulting and energy services. This has involved several periods of working outside the UK and extensive exposure to complex contractual arrangements and various tax regimes. Prior to joining RLtec, Ian was a director and founder member of the UK energy services subsidiary of a major German utilities group.
Rick Schmitt, General Manager, RLtec US Inc.
Rick has over 25 years’ experience in the Energy sector specialising in Demand Response and Smart Metering. As General Manager of RLtec US he is responsible for growing Rltec’s Smart Grid business opportunity in North America. Prior to joining Rltec, Rick was VP Utility Sales at Constellation Energy. His previous industry experience includes Systems Engineering, Business Development, Sales and Product Development. In addition to Constellation Energy, Rick has held management positions at both large multinationals and small start-ups including CPower, Honeywell, Metering Technology Corporation and eT Communications. Rick holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a MBA from the University of Baltimore.

Steve Mahon, Chief Investment Officer (Europe), Low Carbon Accelerator.
Steve is the co-founder of Low Carbon Accelerator (LCA), a leading specialist clean technology venture capital fund that mainly invests in early stage companies. As well as representing LCA on the Board of RLtec he also sits of the boards of Sterling Planet, Quantasol, Vaperma and EcoSolids International. Prior to joining LCA, Steve was CEO of the Centre for Sustainable Engineering and was also on the main Board of Pursuit Dynamics plc, during which time it was the top performing small cap engineering stock on AIM. He was also a board member of Sentec Ltd, a smart grid technology specialist that became one of the fastest growing technology companies in Europe. Steve started his career at Qinetiq where he managed a specialist business unit commercialising smart materials technology. He has a first class degree and PhD in Geophysics and Planetary Physics.
Stephen Brooke, CEO Ombu Group.
Stephen has many years of experience in financing and building fast-growing technology companies. He is Ombu's founder and also co-founded Swarraton Partners, a UK venture capital company where he is Managing Partner. In addition, Stephen is on the board of the Royal Society Enterprise Fund. Previously, Stephen was at IP Group Plc, where he was Director of Business Development and on the company's main board, and prior to that gained experience in venture capital while working at Columbia University Science and Technology Ventures in New York and Bridgepoint Capital in London.
